International Maritime Corridor Risk & Routing Engine — live interface

Nine straits and canals carry the majority of the world’s container and energy cargo, and each one is a single point of failure. This engine ingests live AIS transponder telemetry, overlays evolving weather impact zones, and simulates the network forward across a 72-hour horizon at 30-minute resolution.

When a corridor closes, the reroute simulator prices the diversion in the units that reach a balance sheet: added transit days, bunker fuel cost and CO2 tonnes — calculated per vessel, rather than as an industry average.

What is actually running

  • Corridors modelled as nine constrained-flow choke points, each treated as an individual failure point.
  • Live AIS vessel streams fused with evolving weather impact zones, so exposure is current rather than historical.
  • Reroute pricing per vessel: added days, bunker fuel cost and CO2 tonnes for diversions such as Suez to the Cape of Good Hope.
  • The same constrained-flow model fits substations and interconnects, pipelines, rail corridors and fibre routes.
