ClarityGrid renders Lower Manhattan from Google Photorealistic 3D Tiles and lays a working radial distribution network over the real buildings. The topology is complete: one transmission hub, three substations, six feeders, fifteen distribution transformers and fifty-five metered customers, joined by seventy-three links.

Power visibly flows outward from the hub and down through each stage, and every building carries its own live consumption. A time scrubber runs the network across the daily load cycle at 0.25x, 1x or 4x, so the morning ramp and the evening peak can be watched rather than described.

Each customer class has its own load shape and peak factor — households peak at roughly 3.2x base, office towers at 1.45x and industrial plants at 1.3x — so the aggregate demand curve on screen is produced by the individual loads beneath it, not painted on top of them.

How to read thisThe grid topology and all load values are a deterministic synthetic network anchored to real Lower Manhattan coordinates — shaped like a real distribution network, but not utility telemetry.

  • Photoreal 3D city via Google Photorealistic 3D Tiles, so the network sits on the real buildings rather than a flat map.
  • Live consumption per building, aggregated upward from customer class load shapes.
  • Playback at 0.25x / 1x / 4x across the daily load cycle, with measured MW delivered.
  • Deterministic: a fixed seed reproduces the identical grid and load cycle on every load.
